The fighting did not take long, but Nylla certainly noted the absence of the Force and the difficulty that created for her. Dovek was hit. His struggle continued with a surprising flash bang thrown. Without the Force Nylla didn’t see it coming and couldn’t avert her eyes. She was stunned for a moment, but recovered much faster than the weary prisoners, when her sight returned and the cobwebs cleared Dovek had rendered all the prisoners unconscious, and called for guards.
Nylla was quick to collect Triss. The Jedi suspected that if she were to wake there would be less fight if she was the one accompanying. The rest were handled by Dovek and the guards called on. Nylla led the group to the stairway that was supposed to be the prisoners escape. Instead it was going to deliver them to the Warden, and likely eventually right back into the prison. What that meant for Triss’ conspirators Nylla had no idea. There was likely nothing worse than the third level for the man who had shot at her, but the two that started on level two might find some harsh punishment. Killing guards was certainly not going to get their sentences reduced.
As the group made it to the stairwell Nylla heard the clicks of nearby cell doors. The cyborg has released them all! She thought to herself in terror. She thought to tell everyone to keep moving while she stayed behind to help the guards, but realized with that many inmates and her missing the Force it would be a failing battle. “Up the stairs quickly. And keep these four safe.” It was a selfish order. Nylla wanted to keep everyone safe, but Triss was the main focus at the moment. And the Sith Apprentice she had known years ago would be very upset if she came through and her companions were abused in any way. “I’m sure the Warden wants them as healthy as possible to answer for this,” she added in a bereaved grumble.
Luckily the inmates didn’t have knowledge of their release and so the group was on their way up by the time the riots truly broke into chaos. The prison’s network people seemed to get security on the doors after not too long which made the stairway secure for now, but that wouldn’t correct what was going on down each cell block. There would likely be no escape for the prisoners that were now roaming the prison, but they would cause injury and damage. Nylla couldn’t concern herself with that now. She was one Forceless Jedi, the guard would have to handle this or the Warden would have to call in more help.
They arrived at the first level finding no further struggles. Nylla was not sure where exactly they were and submitted to Dovek’s lead. They arrived back at the security center, prisoners in binding and the personnel looking on with gaping misbelieving mouths. The Warden seemed to be missing which filled Nylla with concern. But she made sure that the prisoners were made as comfortable as possible and requested a medic for Dovek before sitting next to Triss breathing deeply and waiting for the next shoe to drop.

Bryen felt the recognition of the Warden when Arik showed
him Trisskar. It was not terribly surprising to Bryen, Triss was quite
memorable, and unless she had changed she fought against challenges and wouldn’t
sit very well in a prison. “Seems the Warden knows Triss already,” Bryen said
in a calm voice, “It should not be that difficult for you to bring her to us
then right? Minor disturbances and all.”
Bryen knew that was a lie as well. Though at the time the
Warden left his jail to meet the Jedi at their landing site things were not
nearly as out of hand as he sensed they were now. Even if he knew that was the
case before the Warden did.
“Perhaps Masters you can take a look around and make sure
that the Warden is not underestimating his need for assistance,” he continued.
Not sure how they would feel about his next suggestion he made it anyways. He
made no secret of his desire to see Triss safe and let the other handle that
Zabrak, “If it pleases the Masters I will accompany the Warden and see if I can’t
help speed the recovery of the prisoner.”
Even with computers implanted throughout his head Serge
was groggy and slow to respond as the effects of the stun blasts gave way. His
mechanical parts were working just fine and as he slowly lifted his head to try
and figure out what was going on the only thing he made sense of was Kitten
crying out and lunging towards the bronze skinned Jedi. Serge made to
intercept, but his muscles were not as quick to recover as his cybernetics and
so he just watched helplessly.

Nylla was surprised at the quickness and ferocity of the attack. She had expected Triss to be unresponsive for some time. As they reached Level One Nylla’s senses returned to her, but she had trouble sensing Triss. Either the Warden or someone else still had something dampening the dark haired girl’s grasp on the Force. At the point of the attack Nylla was happy that was the case.
There was no tactic in Triss’ attack which made it hard to counter. Nylla scooted off of the chair she sat and started backpedalling until she could come up with a plan, but the plan came too late. She was pushed to the ground by the weight of the attacking girl’s body. Nylla knew that her armor would absorb any damage that Triss looked to put on her, in fact would probably do damage to the Sith if Triss was too wild. “Creature Trusted You!” rang in Nylla’s head.
Nylla used the Force to pull her weapon to her hand, but it stayed there dormant. “I don’t know a Creature. I saved Triss. They would have killed you before you reached air. Now for your own good and for the sanity of your brother I have to find a way to negotiate your release to someplace else. Freedom might not be an option after the lives you’ve taken. But your brother needs to know where you are. And what you’ve become. I’m hoping you can be saved, but first we need to get you someplace to talk.”

Master Oak gave the decision of where the Masters head
over to the Warden. The tactic didn’t bother Bryen in the least. He was heading
off to find Triss no matter where the Masters went, they would meet up later.
It was not only a plan that served Bryen’s own interests, but was also more
efficient than all three going in one direction or the other. Bryen had begun
to understand diplomacy however and he understood that they were on the Warden’s
ground and following his rules would likely give them what they wanted faster.
The young Padawan nodded to Master Oak and turned to the Warden.
"Well then, right this way and I'll get you all the
proper security clearance," the Warden said as he waved the Jedi guests to
follow his lead. As he turned the Warden whispered something to one of his
guards in such a low tone that even the Jedi could not hear. The guard waited
for the group to start off towards their destination and then fell to the back
and eventually disappeared to run some errand.
“The security team inside will get you everything you
need to see that the prison is in good hands as I have already said. Of course
you do know that as you go further down into the prison your abilities will be
affected by security measures that needed to be taken.” The Warden smiled
opened the door and waved them inside. He came to a dead stop in the doorway, but
Bryen quickly pushed past as he heard evidence of a struggle.
His eyes sprang open as wide as they had been in some
time as he took in the scene. Triss was cuffed and struggling atop a Jedi who
seemed to be trying to talk Triss down. Bryen remembered the state that Triss
had been years ago on Onderon, oblivious to the galaxy save one task, or
threat. Bryen hoped the dark skinned Jedi was not that threat. He was still
unable to feel Triss through the Force but he was quick to move and pull the
young Sith off her prey.
“Triss, stop!” he yelled as he grabbed the small framed
former apprentice by the shoulders and dragged her to her feet. He tried to
stare into her eyes, but his glare fell to her neck and he realized why no one
had sensed her for five years. “Triss you need to stop.”

Before Arik could even think to react
to the sight of his sister attacking a friend, Bryen already sprang
into action. Arik had to act just as quickly, The guards were raising
their blasters. A few years ago, Arik would have ignited his saber,
slicking the blaster's in half while force pushing the guards to the
wall. Times have changed. Instead of using the force to knock the
guards into the wall, he used it to knock them back slightly, just
enough for them to lose their aim and for Arik to get between them.
“Stop!” Arik ordered, “No one's
The guards, stunned by all of this
looked at the Warden who nodded. They lowered their weapons. Once
that was settled, Arik went up to rte Warden, “What is the meaning
of this ?!”
“Master Jedi ?”
“Is this how you treat your prisoners
?!” Arik pointed to his sister, who looked in very bad shape, “This
is inexcusable,I have half a mind to arrest you..”
“With all due respect, Master Jedi,”
The Warden said, slightly agitated, “Neither the Republic nor your
order have any jurisdiction here.”
“That can change..”
The Warden straighten up, “There is
no need for any more tension, if you want her to be released I can
accommodate you. In return however, I ask that you assist me in a few
security problems we've been having. Do we have a deal ?”
Arik sighed, “I don't have much of a
“Very well then,” The Warden
replied, “If You all will follow me to the command center, I will
bring you all up to speed and remove her restraints.

As suddenly as Triss was on Nylla, she seemed to be gone. Nylla blinked up at the sight, Triss went from wild and uncontrollable to a scared trembling kitten in the hands of this young Jedi. She tried to shake the attack out of her head, focusing on what was happening now. As her mind cleared she felt familiar presences. She groaned when she saw that the Warden had returned, but then a smile found her face as she saw Master Oak and Arik standing behind the despicable caretaker of the prison.
Nylla calmly got to her feet and started towards her companions from the past. She nodded to the young Jedi, “My thanks,” she said as she continued towards the faces from her past. “New Padawan Master Oak?” she asked with a laugh. Arik would surely still be working with Olivia, and Nylla doubted that the Council would entrust him with a second student at this point in his career.
As she walked towards her fellow Jedi she sensed Dovek’s nervousness. She gave Triss and Bryen an approving look and nodded towards the security officer, “You lived up to your end of the bargain. Now you’re wondering what happens to you next. I’ll get you out of here if that is the way things go, but don’t even think about stealing my friends transport.”
She gave Dovek a warm smile before arriving in front of Master Oak and Arik. She bowed to each, “I’m afraid things got a little ugly with your Trisskar. I’m sorry Arik I tried the best I could, but she is relatively unharmed.”

"I’m afraid things got a little ugly with your Trisskar. I’m sorry Arik I tried the best I could, but she is relatively unharmed.”
"It's ok, Nylla I'm sure you tried your best." Arik smiled.
"Follow me please," The Warden said guiding them down the hallway.
The control room was much larger than
Arik expected. It looked as if every single corner of the prison was
under surveillance. In the center of the room there was a very large
holo-projector which projected a very detailed map of the prison. It
was a very busy place, guards, and other staff running about.
Something was going on, there was too much activity to be business as
“What's the situation? ” Arik
The Warden walked over to the
holo-table, “Aside from your associates recent escape attempt. “
He sighed, “We lost contact with the labs.”
“You have labs here ?”
“Not all our inmates are
ex-military,” He told him, “Some are scientists who have
committed war crimes. They're skills are still valuable, and under
strict supervision we allow them to continue their research.”
“Isn't that dangerous ?”
“They are monitored constantly, their
research notes are reviewed for any potential threats.”
Arik listened, “did you send anyone
to investigate ?”
“That's just it,” The Warden
sighed, “We lost contact with our security team and every team we
sent to investigate went silent as well.”
Arik studied the prison's layout,
“We'll see what we can do.” Then turned to Oak, “You can brief
Master Oak on everything we need to know.” He looked over at Triss,
“I must attend to her.”
Arik nodded and walked over to his
sister and Bryen.

Nylla chuckled as Master Oak listed the short-comings of the Padawan who had taken Triss off of her. The young man seemed alright to her, but she despite the way Triss and Bryen clung on each other she did not understand the nature of their relationship. Of course even if she did, could she fault them? Or look down upon them? She felt the same way about someone. She’d forced herself to push the man out of her mind, or at least any possible relationship, but if Kort had been in Triss’ situation, how would Nylla have dealt with the reunion? She’d hold onto Kort for dear life.
“It is good to be seen Master Oak,” she offered with a smile, “and your arrival could not have been better timed, no matter what the Warden says this place just hit ten on the chaos meter. I am not sure that the guards can handle it. Might have to seal it off and abandon.”
She nodded as the Warden intervened and gave a brief explanation of a situation in the labs. Arik handed lead of that mission to Master Oak, a good choice. Nylla was determined to follow when she was stopped by Dovek.
Dovek was a smart man that much was obvious. He was in the employment of the Warden, but the security officer owed the administrator nothing. From what she saw the guards of this facility were not prepared for what was coming. If they didn’t get help the prison was going to be lost to the inmate. Dovek shouldn’t be around for that. He did his best to keep things secure. It was not his failing that made things end this way.
“I regret every guard’s death that occurred today. I know you don’t believe that but it is true. I serve the Force, the galaxy and the people that I love in that order. The Force wished to take your fellow employees. If it had not it would have put a Jedi here who did not care about the escaping prisoner. You handled yourself with honor, it would be a pleasure to meet with you again. And share my story,” Nylla said with a tight smile. “Keep yourself well and I shall search you out on Nar Shaddaa when my travels bring me near. And I have a feeling that will be soon as my real business here was not completed. Criminal activities were my real interests and I think we both know that path leads to the Hutts nine times out of ten. Take care of yourself.”
